Step 1: Fill the Reservoir

Your first job is to get your hands on the water reservoir and fill it up. While filling it, measure the amount of water you are going to the server. Once you are done.

If you are using a new model of Cuisinart coffeemaker, you will see a water level indicator there. This will help you indicate how much water you have poured.

Or else, you can just follow the basic rule of adding the number of cups that you are going to serve! You will also get coffeemakers that have 1-4 cup buttons added to them. By pressing it, you can brew a smaller pot of coffee within minutes! This makes your whole work a lot easier!

Step 2: Pick the Filter

The next thing you need to do is add the paper filter. Most people use a paper filter in this case. However, you can rely on the gold-tone reusable filters too! Pick any of these and add them to the coffee grounds basket. And you are ready to move to the next step!

Step 3: Add the Beans

In this step, you have to put the ground coffee inside the basket. First of all, measure the coffee you are going to add inside the basket.

After measuring the amount depending on how many cups of coffee you are making, all you need to do is add it basket directly. This is the rule for the ground coffee. However, we are using the grind & brew coffeemaker here! This is designed for the whole beans of coffee.

If you are using the whole beans, add them inside the hopper to brew your coffee. While using automatic grind & brew coffeemakers, sometimes, you might face some issues.

To avoid problems, all you need to do is add the beans recommended via the manual. If you add enough beans inside the hopper, you are already there! Now all you need to do is brew it!

Step 4: Set the Timer

This is the next step of how to use a Cuisinart coffee maker with a grinder.  Here, you have to plug in the coffeemaker and switch it on. However, the timer is a factor here.

After you plug in the coffee maker grind & brew, it will flash 12.00 on the display. You have to understand that the unit is in the mode Clock Set. At times, 12.00 might step flashing.

All you need to do then is to press the hour or minute button and hold it for a time being. The Clock Set mode 12.00 will start flashing once again.

So, after you have pressed the On/Off button, the coffeemaker will turn on and you will see the White LED light there. Now, press the Program button and then the Auto ON will be shown. If you have any previous set time, it will appear on the screen in some cases.

You have to press the program button and hold it to get the Set Program Mode. Now, it’s time to set the time. There is Hour and Minute button available there.

You can rely on the Grind Control Knob here, when you turn it, you will see the number of cups that you want to brew. Select the one that matches your cup numbers. If you rely on this, the grinder can grind the right amount of beans properly. It’s the grinder’s job to adjust the water/coffee radio automatically.

Step 5: Select the Strength

Once you are done with the time, you have to select the strength of the coffee. No, we all don’t drink a cup of coffee with the same strength.

With the Coffee maker with grinder, you will get three options for grinding your coffee. The first one is the Regular one which will fit people that love regular coffee.

In case you like bold coffee flavor, go for Bold. The people that are fond of extra-bold flavors should settle for the one that is designed for them!

In this case, keep in mind that you have to be a little quick. If you keep the coffeemaker’s screen untouched for more than 60 seconds, you will see that the On/Off indicator light will go off.

And eventually, you will see the coffeemaker’s unit on Standby mode. In this case, you have to resume it by pressing the press On/Off once again.

you love to have hot coffee and here you can get some awesome warmer!

Step 6: Brew, Brew, Brew!

Now you have set the time and you are ready with the right strength selection! It’s time to brew the coffee. If you want to brew it now, all you need is to press the Brew button added there!

After this, you will see a white LED light appearing on the screen. The brewing process is already started! Once the coffee has been brewed, the maker will beep once.

After more or less 5 seconds of brewing, you will hear the beep. You have to understand that the brew cycle is done! Once you hear the beep, you can take out the coffee and enjoy it!

If you do not come and get the coffee out, the machine will enter to Keep Warm mode. However, the On/Off indicator will be visible. It won’t shut off soon.

Keep in mind that the whole unit shuts off after 2 hours. Until then, the coffeemaker will keep your coffee warm. After the period, the machine’s On/off indicator will turn on.

In either case, you can have faith in the auto shut-off feature. With this, you can set a specific time till when the coffee maker will stay on. After the selected time, the machine will not warm up your coffee anymore!
